Boeing 737-400 is a member of Boeing 737 series. This model was developed in 1985, mainly as an extended version of Boeing 737-300. Together with Boeing 757, it fills the market vacancy left by the retirement of Boeing 727 series, especially meeting the needs of charter aviation service. The production of Boeing 737-400 continued until 1998, and the last one was delivered to Czech Airlines. During the whole production cycle, 486 aircraft of this type were delivered.
