Boeing 737-600 is a short-range twin-engine jet in Boeing 737 series, which is a shortened version of 737-700. The aircraft began to be developed on September 5, 1994, successfully made its first flight on January 22, 1998, and began to be delivered in September of the same year. It is a model directly developed to replace the 737-500.
The Boeing 737-600 carries between 110 and 132 passengers and has a maximum range of 5,648 kilometers (3,050 nautical miles). This aircraft is very suitable for airlines that need short and medium routes, especially those seeking efficient, economical and comfortable solutions.
It is worth noting that although the passenger capacity of Boeing 737-600 is similar to that of Boeing 717, 717 is designed for regional routes, and its cruising range is lower than that of 737-600. Moreover, the Boeing 717 was discontinued in 2006, which made the Boeing 737-600 the only 100-seat passenger plane of Boeing.
Generally speaking, Boeing 737-600 has won the favor of many airlines all over the world because of its efficient performance, economical operating cost and comfortable passenger experience, and has become one of the main models of their short-and medium-haul routes.
